This installation told the story of Nancy Wake, a member of the French resistance and hero of the Second World War.

Her autobiography chronicled her time in London, so I followed in her footsteps and went to each location mentioned. At each spot I took an imprint out of milliput and turned each imprint into a tool. I would use the tool to apply shape and texture to each vessel made on the pottery wheel. By using the imprint it would impart a texture that was unique to each area travelled. It was important to me to tell the story of an inspirational female figure.
