The Lichen Carafe - 01

This stoneware carafe, thrown on the wheel, is glazed in a volcanic stoneware glaze, creating a dynamic, textural surface. Inspired by the natural textures of lichen and mosses, it seeks to emulate a rustic natural finish. The shape is inspired by forms in traditional Japanese pottery. 

This carafe is only textured on the outside, within it has a durable, transparent, glossy glaze.
